Grown in Slovakia, produced with love for nature

Hemp is an extremely versatile plant. It can practically be used in its entirety, from the stem to the seed. Some sources report up to 25,000 products that can be made from this magical plant. For thousands of years, hemp has been cultivated mainly for its strong fibers, nutritious seeds, and also as an important part of folk medicine. However, farmers also grew hemp to clean soil that was contaminated. This is because hemp removes heavy metals and radioactive toxins from polluted soil through a process called phytoremediation. In this process, fast-growing hemp roots absorb contaminants and are even able to convert toxins into other harmless substances. Guess what crop was subsequently planted to remove toxins from the soil after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986? Yes, you guessed it, it's hemp.

Why should this information influence your decision when choosing CBD oil?

You don't have to have a toxic power plant next to a hemp field to be contaminated. Many CBD oil producers declare that they do not use artificial fertilizers to grow hemp. But the fact is that the soil they grow on can be contaminated with pesticides and heavy metals from the past, which can compromise the purity of your CBD oil.

Homemade quality

Approximately seventy varieties of technical hemp are allowed to be grown in the European Union. It is an extremely versatile plant that can be processed almost entirely. We can make thousands of products from it. For example, the stem is used in the construction industry as an insulating material for buildings or for the production of hemp concrete, the so-called hemcrete. Few people know that hemp buildings have a negative carbon footprint. The tops of the plants are used to extract cannabinoids and other health-promoting substances. Hemp seeds are used in various forms, mainly in the food industry or as animal feed. They are consumed either directly or peeled. They have a high and almost ideal ratio of omega 3, 6 and 9 unsaturated fatty acids and are often further processed into hemp oil, protein, flour and other products.

We, as a family organic farm, decided in 2017 to sail into uncharted waters and out of curiosity, we started growing technical hemp in the east of Slovakia. After initial testing, we found the French varieties to be the most effective for our body. We initially grow hemp for bulk customers on our fields free of chemical substances, but thanks to the acquired knowledge and expertise, we established our own HempBona brand this year, with the finalization of the products, which hides a number of high-quality eco-products with CBD content. In addition to oil, they also offer hemp ointment, massage emulsion, skin cosmetics, bath additive, tea or pet oil.

What does Eco certification guarantee?

To become organic, hemp producers must go much further than simply avoiding the use of pesticides. As with other certification programs, organic crops must meet several strict requirements, from soil conditions to plant processing. Growers are subject to strict quality control procedures, plants must be constantly maintained in healthy and clean soil free of toxins and heavy metals. This is crucial for the hemp plant as it is prone to absorbing toxins from the soil. ECO certification thus guarantees soil purity and safe and healthy products.

CBD made from organically grown hemp:

1. does not contain toxins and synthetic chemicals

In order for a product to be certified as organic, it must be ensured that it has been grown or produced without the use of pesticides, synthetic fillers or genetically modified organisms.

2. It has higher nutritional value

Chemical pesticides, fertilizers and other genetically modified substances can rob the soil of its natural nutrients. Hemp grown in organic conditions is therefore richer in vitamins and minerals, which also means that CBD oil extracted from an organic plant can expose you to a wider range of cannabinoids. Studies have shown that organic consumables such as produce, foods and medicinal tinctures have greater health benefits than those that are conventionally grown and processed.

3. has a cleaner ecological footprint

Chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers are incredibly hard on the environment. Irreversible effects of non-natural substances in agriculture can affect air and water quality as well as harm wildlife. Organic farming helps support environmental sustainability efforts.
Precisely because we supervise the entire growing process, we can guarantee 100% quality of our hemp. That's why we offer our products directly from our farm, directly to your table!
