Why choose CBD oil from hemp grown in certified organic farming?
Hemp is an extremely versatile plant. It can be used practically in its entirety, from the stem to the seed. Some sources list up to 25,000 products that can be made from this magical plant. For thousands of years, hemp has been grown primarily for its strong fibers, nutritious seeds, and as an important part of folk medicine. However, farmers have also grown hemp to clean up soil that has been contaminated. This is because hemp removes heavy metals and radioactive toxins from contaminated soil through a process called phytoremediation. In this process, hemp's fast-growing roots absorb contaminants and are even capable of converting toxins into other harmless substances. Guess what crop was subsequently planted to remove toxins from the soil after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986? Yes, you guessed it, it's hemp.

Why should this information influence your decision when choosing CBD oil?
You don't have to have a toxic power plant next to a hemp field to get contaminated. Many CBD oil producers declare that they do not use artificial fertilizers to grow hemp. The fact is, however, that the soil they grow on may be contaminated with pesticides and heavy metals from the past, which can impair the purity of your CBD oil.

Domestic quality
In the European Union, approximately seventy varieties of industrial hemp are permitted to be grown. It is an extremely versatile plant that can be processed almost entirely. We can make thousands of products from it. For example, the stem is used in construction as an insulating material for buildings or for the production of hemp concrete, so-called hemcrete. Few people know that hemp buildings have a negative carbon footprint. The tops of the plants are used to extract cannabinoids and other health-beneficial substances. Hemp seeds are used in various forms, mainly in the food industry or as animal feed. They are consumed either directly or peeled. They have a high and almost ideal ratio of unsaturated fatty acids omega 3, 6 and 9 and are often further processed into hemp oil, protein, flour and other products.
We are a family organic farm in 2017, we decided to enter uncharted waters and out of curiosity, we started growing industrial hemp in eastern Slovakia. After initial testing, we found the French varieties to be the ones that provide the most active substances for our body. Initially, we grow hemp for wholesalers on our fields, which are not burdened with chemicals, but thanks to the knowledge and expertise we have gained, we have established our own brand HempBona this year, under which we hide a number of high-quality eco-products containing CBD. In addition to oil, they also offer hemp ointment, massage emulsion, skin cosmetics, bath additives, tea, and pet oil.
What does Eco certification guarantee?
To obtain organic certification, hemp producers must go much further than simply avoiding the use of pesticides. As with other certification programs, organic crops must meet several strict requirements, from soil conditions to plant processing. Growers are subject to strict quality control procedures, the plants must be constantly maintained in healthy and clean soil free of toxins and heavy metals. This is crucial for the hemp plant, as it is prone to absorbing toxins from the soil. ECO certification thus guarantees the purity of the soil and safe and healthy products.

CBD made from organically grown hemp:
1. free of toxins and synthetic chemicals
In order for a product to be certified as organic, it must be ensured that it was grown or produced without the use of pesticides, synthetic fillers or genetically modified organisms.
2. has a higher nutritional value
Chemical pesticides, fertilizers, and other genetically modified substances can strip the soil of its natural nutrients. Organically grown hemp is therefore richer in vitamins and minerals, which also means that CBD oil extracted from an organic plant can expose you to a wider range of cannabinoids. Studies have shown that organic consumables, such as products, foods, and medicinal tinctures, have greater health benefits than those that are conventionally grown and processed.
3. has a cleaner ecological footprint
Chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers are incredibly hard on the environment. Irreversible The effects of unnatural substances in agriculture can affect air and water quality and also harm wildlife. Organic farming helps support efforts for environmental sustainability.
